As Fate battles with Hawkgirl and the Flash, Nabu gets into Khalid’s head and in his arrogance convinces Khalid they are meant for bigger battle, convincing him he can do more than just help his friends, but take on Apokolips itself. So Khalid teleports out of the battle and to Apokolips. He teleports to the Apokolips’ Hall of Lore.
The Hall of Lore is a repository of Apokolips’ most powerful artifacts and weapons. There they meet Arcanis keeper of Lore and Thrall the mighty but now subjugated warlock. Without warning, Nabu lured to the power of this subjugated warlock, the Helmet leaves Khalid and chooses Thrall as its new host. But its a trapped, Thrall is not subjugated, he is strong and full with enough will and power to steal Nabu’s power and trap him and have full control of the helmet. Thrall then combines Nabu’s power with his own begins to burn the Earth.
Khalid flees to the other parts of the Hall looking for a way home. Nabu telepathy still linked to Khalid begs for his aid to escape Thrall. Reluctantly, for the fate of the world, he agree to help. He returns to where Thrall and Arcanis are and uses his link to the helm to cast a spell that at first cause his great pain and finally removes his head. Khalid promises Nabu that once this is over he will bury Nabu and his helm forever.
The dead of Atlantis, cursed by the Fury of Apokolips to rise again are attacking Atlantis. The Queen of Atlantis uses her powers over water to tear the dead apart, rendering them no longer a threat. Her Captain of the Guard informs her that balance has not been restored and that they need to join forces with the world above. At first she refuses but then the Captain shows her that the oceans are shrinking due to the heat of the fire pits, Apokolips satellites and Apokoliptian weapons causing the sea to evaporate. She gets the Captain to fetch her battle armour as Atlantis shall go to war with Apokolips at the surface dwellers sides.
Well Nabu is pretty unreliable and easily duped. Considering his power, that’s very scarey.
