|Story/s:||Power and Glory part three|
We find Green Lantern and the Flash have landed on a planet in the middle of a battle. The Flash creates a barrier around Green Lantern while he recharges his ring. While charging ring Flash disappears. Using his ring he takes out the warring peoples and then uses the ring to find out where he is… planet Krypton, 1/4 of a million years in the past.
Wonder Woman is searching for answers in the ruined Olympus and finds a Oraculum. The Gods have fled from something they feared, from the end of everything. She gets no useful answers from the Oraculum. She then finds she is trapped and can’t return to Earth.
Back on Earth young Kevin prays for help from Rao. His prayer is to help those starving and dying in Africa. Rao answers his prayer by providing resources to the people to live on. A preacher then points out Warlords and corrupt governments will keep these resources from the people. To which Rao says he’ll have to change that also. And he does, overthrowing every corrupt regime in Africa. A meeting of leaders (or at least their representatives) is being held with one main concern… What if they disagree with Rao. He appears and answers them… “Then I will have to be more forceful in my persuasion”
Superman and Batman chat. Basically about how Clark should not trust Rao and he should seek the truth.
Back at Infinity Corporation, in 1961 but after Parasites attack in present day (issue 1) Trevor is working on the ‘stones’ when they materialise none other than The Flash from his time in the ancient past of Krypton. Speaking of ancient Krypton Green Lantern opens a dialog with the Kryptonians and is invited to meet none other than Rao.
The plot thickens. Rao threatening force to anyone who doesn’t get in line (very subtly but the message is clear). And GL is back in time about to meet the 250,000 year younger Rao. And why did the stones pluck Flash out of time and into 1961.
